Ana Duarte is a Portugal native who has called the UK home for over a decade. With extensive experience in the industry, she began her career as a runner and location logger in Reality TV.

Currently a freelance Casting Assistant/Director, Ana has had the privilege of working with some of the industry’s top casting directors, including Sophie Holland, Andy Brierley, Theo Park, and Victor Jenkins.

Her diverse Casting Assistant portfolio spans a wide range of TV projects, such as Silent Witness (BBC), The Serial Killer’s Wife (Paramount+), Starstruck (BBC Three), and Disclaimer, the Golden Globe-nominated limited series directed by Alfonso Cuarón, among many others.

Ana’s casting expertise was further developed during her time at Shaheen Baig’s office, alongside completing the prestigious NFTS Casting Course. She has recently been accepted as a probationary member of The Casting Directors' Guild (CDG).

Beyond her professional work, Ana is a passionate advocate for disability and neurodiversity in the industry, drawing on her own experience with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and ADHD.

Outside of casting, Ana enjoys attending comic cons and is an avid reader, often lost in one of her many books.
